The end of 2023 arrived with the RVA PB Steering Commission in early December as we continued efforts to plan for the start of the Richmond People’s Budget in 2024.
The meeting began by talking with videographer Clarence Green of Underground Shorts. He is helping to produce a short 3 minute video that will give people an emotional experience of what these efforts are about. But, also be a call to action for the entire city.
Next we ran through a few updates.
We are still doing some 1 on 1 meetings with City Council Members.
The final drafts of the Rulebook and 1 pager have been completed by Hanbury.
Hiring is happening for RVAPB with Matthew taking on a manager role and we are still looking to hire a pb coordinator.
The rest of the meeting focused on discussing the engagement plan, partnership development, and the calendar for 2024 outreach.
